音樂是我休閒中不可缺少的東西，回想第一次聽到的英文歌，是國小時老爸買的一套錄音帶(印象中有十二卷吧)，當中收錄了許許多多當時西洋的老歌與鄉村音樂。
那時還不懂的 ABC 的我，只會跟著旋律去哼唱。對於歌詞中的意思是完全不了解的。在這十二卷的錄音帶中，我最喜歡Carpenters(卡本特兄妹 or 木匠兄妹)的 Yesterday Once More。
上了國中開始上起英文課，國一的英文老師老是要我們去背課文，搞得我對英文課非常的沒興趣！直到上了專科，通識教育中的英文老師是個剛畢業的老師，她每隔一段時間都會在上課時教我們一首英文歌。
前兩年在唱片行看到收錄Carpenters的一些經典歌曲的CD，趕緊買下來聽！每每聽著Karen 的聲音就會想起那段聽著英文歌卻不了解歌詞意義，還能跟著搖頭晃腦的亂唱的日子。是不是我也該唱一下How I wondered where they'd gone. It's yesterday once more ！
